Sheba Arts Writing Group

This project was funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund's Community Fund, and was a collaborative project with Commonword. A group of women and non-binary people in our community of global majority, refugee & migrant people worked over 16 sessions to develop writing on the theme of identity, displacement, and adaptation. The sessions were facilitated by Maryam Alsaeid, Dipali Das (both Sheba Arts) and Peter Kalu (Commonword). The final works were published in a pamphlet by Commonword and were also shared at our 2023 Sheba Festival. You can read more about Sheba Festival here. The pamphlet, 'Your Beauty is in Your Heart' was shared at Commonword's 'Wellbeing and Green' Festival in March 2024. Read the case study here:
