Over the past few months, we have been working with an enthusiastic group of women and non-binary people to develop new writing on the theme of identity, displacement and adaptation. This is a Lottery Community funded project in collaboration with Commonword, the grassroots publishing organisation in Manchester.
The group has held 16 sessions with Maryam Alsaeid , Dipali Das and Peter Kalu as facilitators and developed some outstanding pieces of work to be shared with a wider audience. We will also share space with some of our youth creatives who participated in a 2 year long project with Manchester Museum and MMU.
We will have live music by Parisa Pirzadeh and Naomi Kalu for this event.
