In 2022, we launched Sheba Salon to offers a welcoming space for people to connect with one another and engage with our activities. It has since evolved into a dynamic programme of networking opportunities, including group visits to artists’ studios and venues, participation in seminars and events, and gatherings at our premises. The Salon aims to bring artists together to share experiences, learn from each other, build networks, and find inspiration.
This has included trips to:
Castlefield Gallery to see 'The Poetics of Water' (Parham Ghalamdar & Jessica El Mal)
HOME Theatre & Cinema to see Heroic Bodies by Sara Suliman as part of SAFAR Film Festival; Dual دوگانه by Peyvand Sadeghian; and Penguin by Hamzeh Al Hussien.

Trafford Volunteer Fair, 2 June 2025. To celebrate volunteers week, we attended the main volunteer fair to meet and connect with new communities.

Sheba Salon, 26 July 2025. As part of the Islington Mill Summer Open Day, we hosted a networking event that opened up our office space with two exhibitions. We celebrated creativity and diversity, and featured inspiring female and LGBTQ+ artists from Manchester.
These visits are curated to reflect Sheba Arts' values, vision, and audiences, as well as to spotlight art which explores migration and the refugee experience.
