Engagement Coordinator & Facilitator Wigan
Part-time, 2 days a week. 2.5 year contract. £25-27k FTE.
About the Post
This post is for an outreach and training programme to be delivered in Wigan Borough and funded by the National Lottery Community Fund.
We are seeking an enthusiastic candidate with experience in community engagement and a good knowledge of Wigan’s migrant communities. The candidate should be committed to inclusion, open to learning new skills, excel in a team environment, align with the organisation’s vision, and an advocate for clear and open dialogue within and between communities.
This position is offered to individuals residing in the Wigan borough.
We offer hybrid working arrangements but would expect the post holder to facilitate in person weekly workshops and attend our main office in Salford at least twice a month.

Founded in 2018, and registered as a CIC in 2020, Sheba Arts makes arts accessible to everyone and supports the artistic practice and expression of people of the global majority with a focus on refugee and migrant communities. We are committed to working with everyone regardless of their background. Our focus is on Greater Manchester and the North West of England. As of 2023, we are an Arts Council National Portfolio and a GMCA Portfolio organisation. We are a small staff team, and all members play an active part in the life of the company. We share tasks and responsibilities in running the company, from housekeeping to planning and delivering.

-Haideh& Nejad project 2023-25: Youth project working with second generation of Iranian and Kurdish diaspora in Manchester.
-Wigan Outreach Programme: weekly arts drop ins and intensive training courses for new refugees and migrants in the Wigan borough.
-Talent Development Programme: supporting emerging artists with funding and training to create new work.
