Climate Action

Sheba Arts Climate Action, is a project launched in 2022 with the support from Community Lottery Fund. This year, we worked with  SAWN (Support & Action Women's Network) in Oldham to run a series of workshops with mothers and young children in Oldham and Chadderton. Mothers and children met every Saturday to upcycle materials for costumes. This is an informative project for the young generation. Today’s society is a throwaway lifestyle and we need to teach our youth to re-use, recycle, upcycle, and stop the waste that is killing our planet every breath we take. The costumes designed by the group were showcased at our outdoor festival on the 18th of June, part of the Sheba Festival at Baker Community Centre.
