General Manager Job Pack
The General Manager is a new role which will support our existing Artistic Director/ CEO with the operational leadership of Sheba Arts. The General Manager will be responsible for our operations, human resources, policies and procedures, and for embedding equity, diversity, and inclusion in the day-to-day management of the organisation. The right candidate will have a proven track record in business and operational management within the cultural or voluntary sector, experience in staff management, and excellent communication skills. They will work closely with the Artistic Director, Board of Directors, and Staff Team to help the organisation achieve its vision of ensuring everyone has access to arts and cultural activities.
The General Manager post is 28 hours per week at a salary of £40k FET. The post enjoys a 3% employer pension contribution, with a requirement of 5% contribution to be made by the post-holder, and 22.5 days holiday plus 3 days Christmas break.
This position is currently offered as a fixed-term, two-year contract with a three-month probationary period. However, our intention is to extend the role, subject to future funding. The notice period is two weeks during the probationary period and two months thereafter.
We currently offer hybrid working arrangements but would expect the post holder to work in person at least 2-3 days per week. We are an equal opportunities employer, and we welcome applications from all sections of the community.

The Chair will provide strategic leadership to the Sheba Arts board, ensuring effective governance of the CIC in alignment with its vision.
They will oversee the organisation's governance, compliance, and management, striving for best practices in achieving its charitable aims and ensuring financial sustainability.
Please note this is an unpaid position, though travel expenses will be covered where required.
